🏁 IT'S A WRAP ON THE SEASON! 🏁

That’s another season done and dusted at Masterton Motorplex, and what a ride it’s been! We just want to take a moment to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who made it happen.

To our racers and pit crews - you guys put on one hell of a show, and we love seeing the passion and dedication you bring to the strip. To our track volunteers - we couldn’t do it without you, simple as that. To our sponsors - your support keeps this place running, and we appreciate every bit of it. To our spectators - you bring the energy, and the place just wouldn’t be the same without you. And to our board members - you keep the wheels turning behind the scenes, and we’re lucky to have you!

This season had its fair share of ups and downs (thanks a lot, rain gods 🙄), and we know how gutting it was to lose a few race meetings. But we appreciate you all sticking with us, and we’re already looking forward to making next season even bigger and better!

A special shout-out to Tony van Helmond, who’s calling it a day after 16 years as the NZDRA Area Steward. Tony, you’ve been a legend in this sport, and we can’t thank you enough for all your hard work over the years. Time to hang up the clip-board and enjoy the racing from the other side!

And let’s not forget Tony Marsh, who had his last run with us at the final meeting. Tony, you’ve had an awesome career on the strip, and we wish you all the best for whatever comes next. Hopefully, we’ll still see you around - because let’s be honest, drag racing is in your blood!

A HUGE thanks also to Ryan and the Wildbunch crew for putting on one hell of a show for the fans this season! You guys bring the noise, the action, and the entertainment, and we love having you here. Can’t wait to see what you bring to the track next season!

And of course, a massive shout-out to all the photographers who brave the heat, the rain, and everything in between to capture the moments that make this sport so special. Whether it’s the perfect launch, a wild wheelstand, or the smiles in the pits, you help keep the memories alive long after the tyre smoke settles. We appreciate you!

So that’s it for another season. Enjoy the break, keep those engines warm, and we’ll see you all back here later in 2025 for more tyre smoke, fast times, and good mates!
